Telegram shows that line for every business bot alike: it is the name of a whole permission group, not a description of what this bot received. DeletedGuard cannot change your name, @username, photo or bio, post a story, or touch gifts and stars — those rights were never granted. What it holds relates to messages only: seeing new ones in connected chats and writing to you. Telegram hands over the delete-messages right as part of that group, but the bot never uses it and deletes nothing in your chats. Check for yourself in half a minute: Settings → Telegram Business → Chatbots → our bot → Permissions. Nothing should be enabled under "Profile".
Yes. It connects through the official Telegram "Chat Automation" feature. Messages are encrypted with AES-GCM under a unique key before they reach the database, and the key rotates automatically every 1-7 days. Only you can decrypt them.
No. The bot is invisible to the other side. When someone messages you it arrives in the normal chat, with no flags or marks. When they delete it, the bot quietly saves a copy in your private chat.
No. Since the Telegram update of 7 May 2026, "Chat Automation" is available to every user — no subscription needed.
Telegram never passes one-time photos and videos to bots, so no bot — ours included — can save them in advance. A copy can still be obtained another way: reply to the message with a dot ".", without opening the original. Telegram includes the attachment with the reply, and the bot sends you a copy privately — it stays in your archive.
